Happy Sunday everyone,
It's been awhile since I did the blogging thing. I haven't really been motivated to post but today I felt productively domestic and decided to whip up a batch of cookies in between laundry loads and studying.
Finding a recipe meant going through mom's recipe cards until I came up with a winner. I love these cards so much, there is nothing better than pulling out a recipe that is stained with chocolate and other ingredients. It's my goal to one day frame these cards or put them in a booklet to give them all the glory they deserve, of course I plan to steal some of grandma's recipe cards as well, she has about a thousand I am sure.
The recipe is simple and quick, perfect for when you are craving cookie dough or the gooey and warm cookie itself.
- 1 cup margarine or butter (softened)
- 1 Cup of White sugar
- 1 Cup of brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups, and a couple Tbsp of flour
- 1 Cup Oatmeal
- 1 Tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 2 Cups of Chocolate Chips
Combine the dry ingredients separately and set aside. Mix together the margarine, sugars and eggs, the longer you mix the better. Add the vanilla, then the dry ingredients..
Throw in your chocolate chips (you can use whatever kind you like, I used Jacek Chocolate milk chocolate chips). Spoon the dough onto a cookie sheet then bake at 325 for about 15 minutes.
Enjoy strait out of the oven with a cold glass of milk!
