Spring blooms and wrap dresses

If you haven't noticed, I am a fan of this dress. I've only posted about it a thousand times on Instagram so I thought the least I could do was share the details, which you'll find below.

I've also been pretty obsessed with hair scarves as of late (something about channeling my inner boho/hippie alter ego). Both of the scarves I currently own were purchased in the states at Madewell and I am officially addicted, so if you know of any good spots in Edmonton feel free to comment or DM me!

I also wanted to share that prior to writing this, I reached out to XIX Palms to ask about their supply chain. If you read my latest post, Who Made my Clothes , you'll know that i'm trying to question my fashion choices more and really delve into where and by whom my clothing is made. Reaching out to brands I love and have purchased clothing from, or want to purchase clothing from, is just one small way of doing so.

Below is the email I sent and am currently awaiting a response to. If you're looking to become more of an ethical consumer, I highly encourage you to copy and paste this email (adjust as you see fit) and use it to take action against unethical manufacturing, worker pay, material sourcing etc. Hopefully I will have more information to share with you once I get a response. In the mean time, i'd love to hear what you're doing to support the #WhoMadeMyClothes movement, and what you've learned about your favourite brands as a result.

Dear Brand,

I love your clothing, however, I feel not enough positive change has happened in the five years since Rana Plaza collapsed, the tragedy which killed and injured thousands of garment workers in Bangladesh.

It is very important to me that people working in your supply chain are seen, heard, paid properly and working in safe conditions.

So please tell me #whomademyclothes and where I can find out more information about your supply chain.

Sincerely, Kayla
