I fell for this dress a couple weekends ago. I just "happened" to go into one of my favorite local stores and poof there it was. Fate right? The boutique I purchased it from is called WORK HALL a Canadian born company located in Edmonton and recently Vancouver. They make their garments in store and also offer sewing events where you can learn how to make your own clothing. I love supporting local boutiques and designers - check them out if you want to add some chic authentic pieces to your wardrobe.
This dress is super versatile and minimal, you can belt it or let it lay loose. Spruce it up with some jewelry and heals or casually wear it around the house. But the main draw in my opinion: it has pockets! I LOVE dresses with pockets, especially a maxi. Nothing exudes comfort more.
The color was also another draw, this burnt red/rose gold (no idea what it's actually called) is pretty popular this season and I have been dying to find it in dress form.
I thought a dress like this deserved a country setting, so we explored a few wheat fields and rivers and I couldn't be more in love with the result. Proud to say I grew my own lavender this year, hoping to play around with it in a few blog posts, stay tuned.
