I'm at this point where I'm not ready to give up my summer clothes and mind set, but i'm also shamefully excited for fall. I love summer, but I think I have to admit that I love fall more. It's a fresh start, there are so many yummy drinks and baked goods that go along with it, and the fashion makes me fall head over fall boots again and again - see what I did there?
The problem with August and the beginning of September, in Alberta at least, is that it's not quite cold enough for those cozy knits calling your name, and it's no longer warm enough to rock booty shorts and crop tops.
So I was inspired to share some of my summer meets fall staple pieces.
1. Boyfriend jeans and stripes. Obsessed obsessed obsessed, with both of these pieces. I would wear boyfriend jeans every day of the week if I could. And stripes, they go with anything, but I especially love this three-quarter length sleeve, it's perfect for patio nights when the sun sets down and the wind picks up.
2. Stripes, again, can you blame me? And Black denim shorts. You can never go wrong with black and white in my opinion.
3. The Canadian Tuxedo. I wear this outfit on the days when the weather starts to turn and remind you that chilly days are ahead, but you can still go out without a coat, and wear a tank underneath and tie the top around your waste if the sun pops out. I would definitely pair this with a white tee as well.
So if your like me, and you can't decide which season you want to be in, these outfits seem to have the best of both worlds in my opinion.
What are your staple pieces right now? Looking forward to showing more fall ones once the leaves change, but they can stay green for just a bit longer.
