Florence was the second place that we stayed for more than a few days, as such it became a bit of a home for us and meant that the rest of the trip was going to fly by ten times faster, so the last days were bittersweet.
Our last couple days were spent seeing the main sights but also just taking our time soaking in the atmosphere. We saw Michelangelo's David at the academia, as well as the the Duomo and Main piazza.
One of my favorite day's was spent at the Museo Galileo, a smaller museum than the others so it was significantly less packed and way more enjoyable as a result. I found the museum to be just as interesting if not more than others we went to, peaking into the brilliant minds who discovered so much that we take for granted today.
Walking out of the museum it started to rain, most people would duck for cover but it almost made the day even better than it already was for us, not to mention it gave us a break from the heat. There is nothing like walking through historical streets on cobblestones while its raining.
Our last evening was spent in Michelangelos Garden, boasting the best views of Florence. We climbed to the top, took breaks here and there to look at all we explored the last few days.
You were a dream Florence, ciao xx
