Not so Infinite Indian Summer
I am afraid to say that the Indian summer we have been enjoying the last couple of months took a very dark turn Monday morning and brought with it a population wide case of the Monday's. In no universe is it fun to wipe off the snow from a windshield, especially on a Monday.
Lucky for you this post is a whole lot warmer than it was in my little car this morning - not that i'm complaining, ill take slightly below zero every day over minus thirty, so don't get any ideas mother nature.
A couple of weekends ago I spent the afternoon with my camera and Kennedy. We desperately needed a study break and took a road trip out to the Edmonton Corn Maze to capture the last of the dried out crops before they became haunted for the upcoming Halloween festivities.
This barn housed a little petting zoo around the back but I was mesmerized by the pealing paint and blue roof that paired perfectly with the sky. I have a thing for old abandoned buildings, and things that most people see as useless or worn out. There is a history there and I am desperate to capture it.
As you can see, the blue sky did not disappoint, we actually purposefully got lost in the maze just so we could spend a little time in solitude snapping pictures of the abandoned trails and the light peering through the crops.
The Edmonton Corn Maze did not disappoint, after our time wandering the maze we headed directly for the kettle corn and slushies - since you know, taking photos is exhausting work and we needed a break, I was also getting a little hungry...
