Paris la Nuit

Guten tag! I am writing from Boppard Germany, and I can't wait to post about this adorable little village. But first, I'll catch you up on our last night in Paris and tres belle Tour de Eiffel.

We went to the Eiffel Tower grounds our second day in, but I haven't been able to upload those photos unfortunately so they will have to be a throwback sort of post some day in the future. For now, Paris at dusk will have to do!

We took the metro to Trocodero and walked along the crowded streets to a cafe facing the seine. Had our last fill of Parisienne food, ending with a crepe covered in chocolate and whipped creme. Once the sun began to set, I whipped my camera out and became completely snap happy.

Our restaurant was right along the building to the left of the tower.

After waiting in line about 50 minutes (this was relatively short compared to the line up to the very top, we only went to the first couple of floors)   we climbed until our thighs gave out. Not having a tripod made night pictures extra difficult, so I played around with Bokeh instead, these are some of my favourites.

You can't really tell, but this is the seine river and at the end is downtown Paris.

I so badly wished I had a tripod. Instead I made due with concrete walls to keep my camera still. We stayed and watched the tower sparkle for another hour or so, hanging back from the crowds.

A perfect way to end our visit, Au Revoir Paris!
